If you are just starting out on your makeup journey, there are a few key tools that are just MUST HAVES! Like you totally need these to make that face right. I've compiled a short list for you to help aide you in what to buy. Now my personal choice of brand is just that, MY PERSONAL CHOICE. You can purchase whatever brand you like, but I'm giving you my favorite brand of brushes/tools!!!!!
1. POWDER/BRONZER FLUFFY BRUSH
This brush is essential for pressed or loose powders to set makeup, for applying bronzers and blushes, or what ever dry products you like. The fluffier the brush, the less application of product is distributed.

2. Eyeshadow Brush
This brush is essential for placing and packing color on. The most basic eyeshadow application brush you can find.
Sigma E55-Eye Shading Brush |
3. Eyeshadow Blending Brush
This brush is used to diffuse and blend color. I use this for so much more. I blend eyeshadow with it, I sometimes contour with it, I apply concealer with it (gives an airbrushed finish), I set concealer with it, and so much more. This is the most versatile brush that you could buy. I buy like 5 or 6 at a time (I'm obsessive)!!!

4. Lash Curler (Full and Mini)
This contraption may seem complex but it's as easy as pie!!! Well I guess making pie is hard to some! lol But seriously, it's easy! Just get in there and press and you'll have beautiful lashes in no time. I like the mini curler because it gets those lashes that are hard to grab with the full lash curler! So both are must haves. They are especially great for merging false lashes with real lashes!! GREAT INVENTION!

5. Foundation Brush (Stippling and Traditional Paddle Brush)
Now, in my opinion, this brush is optional to your tastes. If you are applying makeup (ie: foundation) to only yourself and you like to use your fingers or a sponge, you go right ahead. If you are applying foundation to clients then these are sooooo necessary.
The Stippling/Duo Fiber brush gives and aerated/airbrushed finished. These are multi-purpose also. I sometimes use my large duo fiber for soft contouring and blush and powder application. I mostly use it for foundation application though.
The Traditional Paddle Foundation brush can be used for foundation and concealer. Also moisturizer and primer.

Sigma F-50 Duo Fiber Brush |
I've only begun to skim the service on tools. There's so much more out there but I believe these essential tools will start you on your way!!!! You can also opt for brush sets. Like the ones mentioned below. They are more expensive but they cover all bases
