Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Foundation

I've been hearing such great things about this foundation so being the makeup junkie that I am, I decided to try it out. It claims it's 24 hour wear, I'm gonna test that out today! lol.

Firstly, the price point is a little high for drug store makeup. It retails for 13.99 at most places. Ulta has a sale on Revlon products right now. Buy one, get one half off. So now is a good time to test it.

The color range isn't as vast as the other colorstay foundations. It stops at caramel, which is the color I purchased. Caramel is a tadbit darker than I am but I like to take my foundation up a shade, so it isn't a problem. But if you're darker than me, your'e SOL (shit outta luck! lol)

Here's a look at the display

My honest opinion of the foundation is that I LOVE THE COVERAGE and finish. It's a semi-matte finish. Great coverage. I'm not sure of how long it wears just yet, but I will update you on that. I love the packaging. It looks expensive. lol I also love the way that it feels like I'm wearing nothing. Which is a big deal to me because I like maximum coverage.

Here's some pictures of the one I purchased and me wearing it today.

NYX Haul: Xtreme LipCreams and Soft Matte Lip Creams

I visit the Ulta site mostly everyday at work, to see what they have on sale. This week they had certain NYX products on sale. I LOVE NYX lip and eye products so of course I took full advantage. Below is what I purchased.

DISCLAIMER: All photos are taken with my Samsung Galaxy S3 and all were swatched on myself.

These are the links on Ulta for the products mentioned. (Just in case you want to take of advantage of the sale.)

THE XTREME LIP CREAMS

THE SOFT MATTE LIP CREAMS

Sorry for the glare on this swatch

Amsterdam (for those that can't see through the glare)

PROS:
The consistency is amazing!
Both products are super pigmented
Priced very affordable
Easy to apply
Cute packaging

CONS:
No purple shades (not one)

I actually LOVE all of them. I'm going back as I type to order the rest of the Xtreme Lip Creams. I need them all. (CONFESSION OF A MAKEUP JUNKIE! lol)
If you have any of these, tell me what you think. To see what they look like on the lips, I've seen reviews on youtube. Here are some links for your convenience.

Beauty Supply Store MAKEUP SPOTLIGHT: Ruby Kisses All Over Glow

I saw someone on fb post a picture of Ruby Kisses all over Glow in Bronze Glow and I was determined to find it. It was hard to find so I stopped searching. So yesterday, I was in my local beauty supply and happened across it. So it purchased it and another one. Below you'll see them and how they compare to MAC Mineralized Skinfinishes and In Dimension Powders.

Bronze Glow on the left, Deep Glow on the right

Bronze Glow: Closest Comparison to MAC Gold Deposit

Deep Glow: Closest Comparison is MAC Whisper of Gilt in Dimension Powder

MAC In Dimension Powders at the top (left to right: Whisper of Gilt, Glorify, Superb)
Powders of bottom row (left to right: MAC Gold Deposit, RK Bronze Glow, RK Deep Glow)
NOW HERE'S SOME SWATCHES

I added MAC SOFT N GENTLE TO SHOW YOU THE DIFFERENCES

NOW HERE ARE SOME MISCELLANEOUS MAC POWDERS THAT I JUST HAVE AND LOVE

Candle light and Comfort were limited life products.

Soft N Gentle and Lightscapade are permanent MAC products.

I also have Blonde and RedHead Mineralized Skin Finishes and some from the Semi-Precious collection that aren't listed here.

All in all I LOVE THE RK All Over Glow Powders. They are beautiful and of good quality and less than half the price of the MAC equivalents. They are differently worth the purchase if you can find them.

Wal-Mart Makeup Haul- Beauty on a Budget

So..... since I'm always makeup shopping (its sad, it never ends!) I decided to post my hauls and my initial thoughts on the products that I purchase. Last night, I went to Wal-Mart looking for some shadow palettes from Hard Candy that I saw someone post about. I couldn't find them. I didn't want my trip to be in vain so here's what I purchased. All in all i spent $40.00 (not bad).

Disclaimer: All photos were taken with my Samsung Galaxy S3

So as you can see, I purchased:
2 Black Radiance lipsticks (black and blackened red)
A Black Radiance eyeshadow palette
A Hard Candy Meteor Eyes Eyeshadow
2 Infallible eye shadows

The Infallible eyeshadows retail for $7.00 (US)
(L'Oreal's Infallible Eyeshadows contain ultra concentrated colour pigments, for an intense colour finish)
These remind me so much of M.A.C's Electric Cool Eyeshadows (electric cool are a little more intense and more cream than powder) or Lancôme Color Design Infinit&eacute 24Hr Eyeshadows. (exact match to this product in my opinion)
The color is intense. Easy to blend. Looks like a cream/powder hybrid. I am so ready to use these.

The colors I purchased were BOTTOMLESS BLACK (on the left) and AMBER RUSH (on the right)

The Hard Candy Meteor-Eye Baked Eyeshadow Retails for $6.99

This is such a gorgeous shadow. It reminds me of the M.A.C Mineral Shadow Gilt By Association or the discontinued Golden Gaze from their Semi-Precious Launch (which is a little more of an intense Gold)

There's great pigmentation on this shadow dry. So imagine it wet!

This Black Radiance Shadow Palette in DOWNTOWN BROWN retails for $5.99
It looks exactly the Wet N Wild COLOR ICON™ EYESHADOW COLLECTION

The colors are slightly different but the same concept. Wet N Wild contains more matte shades. The Black Radiance contains more satin finish shades.

Wet N Wild Palette is 1.00 cheaper.

So this is my mini haul. Don't sleep on drugstore products. These seem to be excellent. I will update you with looks I create from them.

If you've tried any of these, tell me about them. I would love to here your thoughts.
