Painted eggs...

Displayed in an iron and glass case, 

these painted and lacquered eggs are a beautiful reminder

of a bygone era.

I remember having a very old one like these 

as a child that would open to reveal the treats inside.  

I do imagine that the treats in these 

would be better than the jelly beans I had.
